About
I am a self-taught abstract painter living in Durham North Carolina. My most recent work is an exploration in form, shape, and interactions in color as they relate to what I learned to reject as “feminine” when I was young. I favor rounded shapes, and colors like pale pink. I paint those shapes and colors I once rejected as an act of defiance and appreciation. Defiance against my own social conditioning, and appreciation for the beauty of all color and form.
